Asking a question via QR

Scanning the QR code in the room to send a question to the panel, and what happens to it.

At panels a single QR code is displayed in the room. Scanning it lets you write a question to whichever session is active at that moment.

Which session is taking questions

Caution

The QR code never changes; the organizer decides which session takes questions (Active in the Agenda tab). If no session is active the screen looks empty — that is not an error, it simply means questions are not being taken yet.

Writing a question

  • Your question must be between 5 and 500 characters.
  • Name and institution are optional; you may leave them blank. If you fill them in, you must confirm the privacy notice.
  • You can send more than one question to the same session.

What happens to your data

Your question and, if given, your name and institution are kept for 180 days after the event is completed, and are deleted at the end of that period.

The only exception

The only exception is the text of questions the rapporteur selected and approved for the moderator: those remain as part of the event record. So a question that reaches the stage may be identical to the text you wrote.

If you cannot send a question

If many questions arrive in a short time the system slows submissions down temporarily. The limit is per device (3 a minute, 10 an hour); the venue's shared network will not lock you out. Try again in a few minutes.

What happened to my question

Questions reach the rapporteur first. The rapporteur reads them, selects some and forwards them to the moderator, who puts them to the panel. Not every question reaches the stage — that is a time constraint, not a judgement.
