Privacy Notice

Submit Application
The public application form: fields, expandable privacy notice and consent box.

What the form asks for

  • Name, email and phone — so the outcome can be sent to you.
  • Profile fields such as institution or university (these vary by event).
  • Acknowledgement of the privacy notice — required.
  • Separate consents such as photo usage — optional, you may decline.

Note

Acknowledging a notice and giving explicit consent are different: the first is an "I have read and understood" statement; the second can be declined, and declining does not affect your application.

Choosing a team

In a team-based event you tick one of four options:

I am creating my team
You enter a team name and receive a join code.
I have a code, I am joining
You enter the join code a teammate gave you.
I want to be placed in a team
You apply without a team; the organiser may place you in one.
I have an idea and need teammates
You apply without a team, and it is known that you have an idea.

Tip

What you have typed is held in memory only while the page is open; refreshing or closing the page clears it. Nothing is written to your browser's storage — a deliberate privacy choice. Switching language keeps your answers; the data does not reach the server until you submit.

If you switch language

If the form is offered in more than one language you can switch; your answers are preserved.

After you submit

  1. 1
    Your application moves to Pending.
  2. 2
    The organiser reviews it.
  3. 3
The outcome is sent to you by email.

Caution

If the application page does not open, the event may not be published yet, the window may have closed, or the capacity may be full. The page tells you which.
